With the enormous popularity of poker machines in many hospitality venues, gaming qualifications are increasingly sought after. This popular course is designed to provide participants with practical skills required for the operation of a gaming location. The course is nationally accredited and although there a
re some legislative differences between states, participants will gain current knowledge required by the hospitality industry throughout Australia.
Special Note: It is mandatory to complete both gaming courses as they run as consecutive courses over a 2 day period. Students should be aware that this is not a gaming license - they can apply for a license or 'badge' once they are employed through their employer.

This unit must be taken in conjunction with Responsible Gambling. It is designed to provide participants with practical skills required for the operation of a gaming location. Participants will gain current knowledge required by the hospitality industry in South Australia.
This unit covers:
* Identification of different types of gaming machines
* Technical operation and maintenance of gaming machines
* Duties of employees
* Customer service and relations
* Cash clearances, payouts and meter recordings
* Legislation, machine and general security procedures
provide responsible gambling services SITHGAM006A (day 2 of 2 day course)
This unit must be taken in conjunction with Attend Gaming Machines. It is designed to provide participants with knowledge of the legislative framework and patron care aspects for gaming in South Australia.
This unit covers:
* Identifying minors / underage gambling
* Excessive gambling
* Understanding the mandatory Code of Practice
* Lending money / giving credit
* Mandatory signage
* Barring patrons / self exclusion
* Gambling Helpline / counselling
* Independent Gambling Authority
* Return to Player
* Gambling Machines Act & Statutes Amendment (Gambling Regulations) Act 2001
* Gambling Environment Features
* Responsible Gambling pamphlets / Smartplay
* House policy

* Perform Balancing procedures
