This course enables you to develop a broad awareness and understanding of the tourism industry and its range of operations. It develops general skills in the sales and office operations area, specialised skills in international retail sales, and supervisory skills tailored for the tourism industry.
This course suits those who want to join the tourism industry, but who do not know specifically what part of the industry, as well as those who wish to join a corporate or public retail travel agency.
This course is also available to International Students.

Your qualifications are recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
what further study options will I have?
Successful completion of this course will enable you to proceed to the Advanced Diploma of Tourism Management.
Following completion of the Advanced Diploma you may be eligible to enrol in the Bachelor of Hospitality Management with credits for previous study.
You must have successfully completed SACE or its equivalent. This requirement may be waived in the case of mature age applicants.

Full-time – 18 months.
what will I study?
You are required to successfully complete all units of competency listed below. The program employs a range of learning methodologies including use of computer based programs, project work, practical work, work placement, industry assignments and simulation exercises as well as class presentations.
You must attend the School for approximately 24 hours per week for 37 weeks annually. You also need to allocate approximately eight hours per week for project work.
