As the world becomes more mobile, demand is rapidly increasing in the travel and tourism industry for more suitably skilled workers.

The Adelaide Hospitality & Tourism School Certificate III course helps aspiring industry workers gain a
comprehensive understanding of cultural expectations and the wider functions of the domestic and international tourism market.

Students learn about customer service, how to operate effectively in situations of high cultural diversity and about communication, information and processing functions.

The course introduces students to specialised technologies such as the Galileo reservations system.

This course gives you the solid foundation to enter the tourism industry, particularly in the retail travel area. Employment opportunities include plum jobs in travel agencies, airlines, car rental organisations, tour wholesale tour companies, shipping or cruise lines, convention or exhibition centres, market planning, advertising and promotions, product development, brochure production, tour planning, local government and a whole lot more!


 

Mandatory work experience program included. (we cover your insurance too)

The structured work experience placement represents an excellent job networking opportunity. One day per week over a six to eight week period we organise a placement for you within a travel related business, such as a travel agency or airline office.

course selection and enrolment procedures

There are no formal entry requirements for our entry level courses. However, we recommend that you have completed at least SACE stage 1 (or Year 11 equivalent).  Payment of the course deposit must accompany the Registration Form which can be downloaded here.
